Pai Gow Poker is a modern game with old ancestry. Built on the ancient Chinese domino game and the modern American version of poker, Pai Gow poker marries the east with the west in a fantastic game for early level players.
Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the gambler against the dealer, not like most other poker games that players bet against other gamblers. By betting against the dealer, beginner players don’t need to worry about other, more knowledgeable individuals taking their mulla.
Another Pai Gow edge is the fairly leisurely game pace, novices should be able to take their time and strategize without having to make frenzied selections.
It is also much simpler to wager on for an extended time with only a small amount of money since, to lose, each of your hands needs to be under both of the casino’s hands.
Pai Gow is played with 53 cards; the customary 52-card standard deck and one joker. The player is assigned seven cards face up and the house is given 7 cards face down.
One five card hand and one two card hand need to be made from the seven cards dealt, the five card hand has to be stronger than the two card hand. To win, a player is required to have both of his hand totals to be larger than the houses.
