Online poker has become globally famous as of late, with televised championships and celebrity poker game events. The games popularity, though, stretches back quite a bit further than its TV ratings. Over the years many types on the original poker game have been created, including some games that are not really poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of the above-mentioned games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely affiliated with vingt-et-un than old guard poker, in that the gamblers wager against the dealer instead of the other players. The winning hands, are the established poker hands. There is little bluffing or other types of deception. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to ante up prior to the dealer declares "No more wagers." At that moment, both you and the casino and of course every one of the different gamblers are given five cards. Once you have observed your hand and the dealer’s first card, you must in turn make a call wager or surrender. The call bet’s value is on same level to your beginning ante, which means that the risks will have doubled. Abandoning means that your bet goes immediately to the dealer. After the bet is the showdown. If the dealer doesn’t have ace/king or greater, your wager is returned, including a sum on par with the initial bet. If the dealer has a hand with ace/king or greater, you succeed if your hand defeats the bank’s hand. The bank pony’s up chips even with your ante and controlled odds on your call bet. These expectations are:
- Even for a pair or high card
- two to one for two pairs
- 3-1 for 3 of a kind
- four to one for a straight
- five to one for a flush
- 7-1 for a full house
- twenty to one for a four of a kind
- 50-1 for a straight flush
- one hundred to one for a royal flush
