Pai Gow Poker is a current game with ancient ancestry. Founded on the ancient Chinese domino game and the modern American variation of poker, Pai Gow poker bands together the east with the western in an awesome game for starting players.
Pai Gow is a poker game that puts the gambler against the dealer, not like the majority of other poker games that gamblers play with other players. By competing against the dealer, new players don’t have to fret about any other, more advanced gamblers winning their cash.
An additional Pai Gow edge is the relatively slow game pace, rookies should be able to take their time and scheme while not needing to make quick choices.
It’s also easier to play for a very long time with just a little amount of money after all, to lose, each of your hands has to be under each of the dealer’s hands.
Pai Gow is played with 53 cards; the familiar 52-card common deck and a single joker. The gambler is dealt seven cards face up and the croupier is dealt 7 cards face down.
One five card hand and one two card hand need to be made from the seven cards, the 5 card hand has to be better than the two card hand. To succeed, a player needs both of his hand totals to be larger than the casino’s.
