Gus Hansen experienced a marvelous year on the World Poker Tour where he was the only one to make it to the last table in three of the competitions. Gus Hansen has been seen on High Stakes Poker on GSN where he bought into the game for $400, 000. You may recall one of the biggest pots in big stakes poker history competing against Daniel Negreanu. Gus raked in a massive pot with quads against Daniel’s full house. Gus has earned many televised poker appearances and is deemed to be one of the greatest players around the world. While gambling on web poker, a different side of Hansen has emerged. He often participates in the 200/400 No Limit max buy-in of Forty Thousand dollars. Hansen usually buys in for the minimum of $16, 000 and gambles very weak. He sits there waiting for a good hand and then pushes all-in. I believe Hansen is an amazing poker player but certainly not even close to the familiar players at 200/400no limit. Unless he is penniless, he has no reason to play at the game with the min buy-in.
Buying in for the minimum takes a majority of the expertise out of big stack poker. Hansen is supposed to be 1 of the best players in the world but he can’t buy-in for the full amt.. I think tv can alter our perception of the real world every now and then. The greatest poker players in the world may be guys you have will not have heard of before. Gus can be found playing online poker on Full Tilt. He usually participates in big stakes omaha hi-low and texas holdem. Gus has proven himself as a tournament player. Can he back up his skills in cash rounds?
