Poker has become globally celebrated lately, with televised competitions and celebrity poker game shows. The games universal appeal, though, stretches back quite a bit further than its television ratings. Over the years many variations on the first poker game have been created, including a few games that are not quite poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of the above-mentioned games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely affiliated with blackjack than long-standing poker, in that the players bet against the dealer instead of the other players. The succeeding hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is little bluffing or different kinds of concealment. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to pay up before the croupier declares "No more wagers." At that moment, both you and the dealer and of course every one of the different gamblers acquire five cards. Once you have looked at your hand and the bank’s first card, you need to in turn make a call wager or bow out. The call wager’s amount is equal to your beginning ante, indicating that the stakes will have increased two fold. Abandoning means that your wager goes immediately to the dealer. After the bet is the conclusion. If the bank does not have ace/king or better, your bet is returned, with a figure on par with the initial bet. If the casino has a hand with ace/king or greater, you succeed if your hand defeats the dealer’s hand. The casino pays chips even with your ante and fixed odds on your call bet. These odds are:
- Equal for a pair or high card
- two to one for 2 pairs
- three to one for 3 of a kind
- four to one for a straight
- five to one for a flush
- 7-1 for a full house
- 20-1 for a four of a kind
- 50-1 for a straight flush
- 100-1 for a royal flush
