Pai Gow Poker is a modern game with old origins. Based on the old Chinese tile game and the current American version of poker, Pai Gow poker marries the far east with the west in a fantastic game for beginner level players.
Pai Gow is a poker game that puts the player against the house, not like most other poker games that gamblers bet with other gamblers. By betting against the dealer, new players don’t have to be concerned about any other, more advanced players taking their cash.
One more Pai Gow advantage is the fairly slow game play, beginners should be able to take their time and strategize without needing to make frenzied selections.
It is also simpler to gamble on for a long time with just a small bit of cash seeing as, to not win, both of your hands has to be under both of the casino’s hands.
Pai Gow is played with 53 cards; the normal 52-card standard deck and a single joker. The gambler is given 7 cards face up and the casino is given 7 cards faces hidden.
A five card hand and one two card hand must be put together from the seven cards, the five card hand must be higher than the 2 card hand. To win, a player needs both of his hand values to be higher than the casino’s.
