No Joke, millions and millions of individuals strive to be the next "mega star" in poker, but here is a short rundown on four of the more famous "great players" of the game. Although "nice" is connected with their names when you are facing them it is "no more Mr. Nice guy" until they have put you out of the game!
Daniel Negreanu
In Two Thousand and Four, his competition winnings added up to in excess of $4.4 million and he captured 2 immensely respected awards in the WSOP Player of the Year and Cardplayer Magazine’s Tournament Player of the Year. In Feb 2006 he was chosen Card Player’s Favourite Poker Player. He even still has the humility to talk to his fans about how they could advance their own game.
Howard Lederer
Referred to as "The Professor" and brother of fellow poker professional Annie Duke. His achievements have allowed him to make an educational poker video called "Secrets of No Limit Hold’em" and co holding a tournament poker show for Fox TV. As of 2005, his total life winnings surpass $2.7 million.
Scotty Nguyen
Scotty is 1 of the most active players in poker and from Two Thousand to Two Thousand and Four he ranked in the money in more than one hundred events. He is notorious for saying "yeah baby" throughout poker games and also coined the term "that’s poker baby" when referring to a exceptionally bad beat. As of Two Thousand and Six, his life time winnings are just about six million dollars.
Chris Ferguson
Chris has won five World Series of Poker titles with 2 of his wins happening in 2003. Has the alias "Jesus" because of his trademark long hair and beard, and is able to toss cards fast enough to slice through pickles and bananas. As of 2005 his total poker tournament winnings exceeded $5 million.
