No Joke, millions of individuals strive to be the next "big-time thing" in poker, but here is a short list of four of the more famous "great pros" of poker. Despite the fact that "nice" is associated with their names when you are facing them it’s "no more Mr. Nice guy" up until they have put you out of the game!
Daniel Negreanu
In 2004, his tournament payouts added up to more than 4.4 million dollars and he attained 2 highly respected awards in the WSOP Player of the Year and Cardplayer Magazine’s Competition Player of the Year. In February 2006 he was named Card Player’s Preferred Poker Player. Daniel still has the humility to speak with his fans about how they might improve their own game.
Howard Lederer
Known as "The Professor" and sibling of fellow poker pro Annie Duke. His accomplishments have allowed him to make an educational video named "Secrets of No Limit Hold’em" and co hosting a tournament poker show for Fox TV. As of Two Thousand and Five, his complete life time winnings exceed 2.7 million dollars.
Scotty Nguyen
Scott is 1 of the busiest players in poker and between Two Thousand to Two Thousand and Four he placed in the money in more than one hundred events. He’s noted for saying "yeah baby" during poker matches and also credited with the phrase "that’s poker baby" when referring to a particularly bad defeat. As of 2006, his life time earnings are almost six million dollars.
Chris Ferguson
Chris has earned five WSOP titles with 2 of his wins happening in Two Thousand and Three. Has the nickname "Jesus" because of his characteristic long hair and beard, along with his ability to toss cards fast enough to slice through pickles and bananas. As of Two Thousand and Five his total live poker tournament earnings exceeded $5 million.
